Biography

My research interests lie in ecological and evolutionary genomics particularly in work bridging the genotype-phenotype map. Which I approach through a combination of wet lab and computational methods. My current work focuses on identifying regulatory elements in an ecological context, using population genomic datasets to detect conserved putative regulatory non-coding regions. Previously, I have worked on projects examining the transcriptomic responses to complex mixtures of stressors, including cadmium, PFOS, and salinity. Through collaborations with other labs at the University of Notre Dame, I have also contributed to transcriptomic studies addressing questions related to the molecular basis of neurodevelopmental disability in Kabuki syndrome and antimicrobial resistance in Acinetobacter baumannii.
